J. Cole Speaks about the "Who Dat" Video
RapRadar gets an exclusive into the mind of J. Cole about the video and its symbolism. Note i picked it up first time i watched the video..just saying lol!
Jay-Z and Eminem Perform "Renegade"
Rare performance for these two. I need tickets to Comerica Park on September 2nd!
This is Dope: Curren$y Ft. Mos Def & Jay Electronica- The Day
This track was produced by Ski Beats and all 3 of the MC's absolutely kill the track. Pilot Talk drops July 13th and from what it sounds like its going to be a good one from the "hot spitta".
Curtis at it Again
I am beginning to think that 50 Cent just gets bored at home, puts all artists in a hat, and the one he draws, he decides to go after.

Why Pac Remains the GOAT!
Since we just celebrated the greatest of all time rapper's birthday about a lil' over a week ago, I figured it would be fitting to talk about a story I came across yesterday on some of the hip-hop sites. The government has acknowledged that Tupac's, "Dear Mama", off one of the top 5 hip-hop albums of all time, Me Against the World will be preserved in the Library of Congress. If this were to happen, he would be only the third emcee to have such happen. The other two members of the hip-hop world to achieve this are Grand Master Flash and Public Enemy. There are also reports that a movie is in the works on the controversial life of Tupac, who obviously was a very misunderstood individual, but that was really brought on by Tupac himself, but that is a whole different story in itself. Point being, getting your music put into the Library of Congress does not happen very often and just goes to show the timeless music catalog that Tupac created, well deserved honor in my opinion.
Drake: Better Than Good Enough
Heres part of the Drake documentary that aired on MTV last night, I'm sure the whole thing will be floating around somewhere via internet so check back here if you want to check it out.
Ummmmm...
Now, Kanye, 808's and Heartbreaks, I can deal with. Kanye was going through allllll kinds of things and it was sort of like a one time thing, an experiment so to speak. This is really who Drake wants to be as an artist...but that right there is absolutely terrible.

Drake Sells 460k+
Word is that the Canadian superstar sold about 463,000 units the first week. For a debut album, in 2010, that is by no means a flop at all. But if his Album had come out sometime late last year, he was easily pushing a milli. I was not really a big fan of the album but congrats to him.

Fashawn the Phenom
I been meaning to post this album since I started my blog last week, and since he just recently put out another mixtape what better to post it now. Fashawn reminds me of a young Nas, and in hip-hop you know people just dont throw that name around very loosely, it has to be deserved. He proved that with this first album "Boy Meets World" and check out his latest mixtape "Ode to Illmatic", how fitting.

Where I'm At
Soooo today has been quite an eventful day and I need to speak on a few things...why not share it with the rest of the world?? First off shoutout to everyone who is following the blog, whether you have OFFICIALLY became a follower of the blog, or if you just find time to check it everyday. I see the profile views and I am very appreciative. With that said shoutout to Mrs. Jones! :-) The first official follower and also my other follower and 1/4th of my heart my lil sis!! The other 75 % is Moms and G-Moms (R.I.P.) and my family in general! I spent a lot of time with the fam today, and everytime there is never a dull moment! I wish everyone in the world had what my family and I have cause without them I would definitely be LOST. Everytime I get together with family I always go through these emotions because I'm grateful for what I do have, and realize what others do not have. So with that said everybody take some time today to tell a family member that you love them, and when you tell em, tell em AC told you to do it lol.
I woke up to some unfortunate news, not directly relating to me, but sad none the less. If your an avid sports fan, or basketball fan, you gotta know who Manute Bol is. One of the tallest people to ever play basketball at 7'7'', and the first ever from the Sudan. Many people are going to remember him for being just that, tall, and a "sideshow" in a sense on the court. Manute Bol was probably one of the greatest people walking around this Earth, and at age 47 is gone wayyyyyy too soon. As a society we love to glorify the athletes who lead high speed chases down the freeway (OJ Simpson), cheat on their wives (Kobe Bryant), and are addicted to gambling (John Daly). But an athlete such as Manute Bol, who dedicated his life to helping others in his struggling home country, visiting refugee camps, donating money, and organizing events in his home country as well as in the USA to raise money in the Sudan, never ever get the praise that they are due. As a man I can only hope to lead a life such as Bol led.

The Roots- How I Got Over
Just came across this on some of the hip-hop sites...who does not get excited for new Roots?!?! I have yet to actually give it a listen, but the groups 11th (?) studio album wont disappoint I'm sure of it!
The Roots- How I Got Over
More often than not, when I upload music it will be in the ".rar" file form. You need a special program to extract those types of files, personally I use "Winrar"...dont say I never gave you nothin lol!

Ron-Ron!
As crazy as this man is, you have to give him credit for remaining true to who he is in the biggest of stages. I can only imagine what it feels like winning your first ring. Congrats to Ron and the rest of the Lakeshow!
Cole World!- No Blanket Son
Man I think I would have literally killed to be at this show. In the above video my fav rapper (with all respect to Lupe) right now spits the hottest verse of '09 in my eyes. Check below for the live performance of "Who Dat". The official video is on scheduled to be released on Monday.....cant wait!

Game 7 Preview
So if you were a follower of my blog for school (which by the way I will be apart of once again, being payed to write ahhhhh such a thing of beauty) , but I did a NBA season preview, and I indeed did pick a LA vs Boston finals. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME. In that preview I did pick LA to win in 6 games instead of 7, but since I did actually go with them to win the series I must be faithful of my pick and select them to win tonight as well. Overall I think Boston is the better TEAM and they have definitely been playing better ball than the Lakers, specially on the defensive side. But I think tonight, in a must, MUST win game for the "lakeshow" they put it all together, Kobe has his usual big night, Paula Gasolft gets his name back, even though he did have a big game the other night with a near triple-double. I think Lamar finally shows up, but I dunno about Ron Artest, his mind be on other things.
The big thing thats going to hurt Boston, out of all the stars that they do have, is going to be the loss of Kendrick Perkins. Obviously, he brings just about nothing on the offensive side of the ball, but he really is their anchor on the defensive side, and plays some of the best post defense for any big man in the league. No one really thought Boston would make it this far, this year with old age and injuries catching up to them, so by no means will a loss be a disappointment for them. Though I picked the Lakers, I could really go either way for each team winning the 'ship. I'd love to see Kobe get another one, but not tie Jordan lol and I'd love to see my fav player in the league Walter Ray Allen get him another one! But it should be interesting kids tune in @ 9 on ABC!

R.I.P Tupac Shakur June 16,1971- September 13, 1996
If you call yourself a fan of hip-hop, the day of June 16th should be very recognizable as a day that is one of the most important! days in history. On that day, one of if not the THE greatest rapper of all time was born into this world, and on September 13, 1996 that life was taken way to short. A rapper who was considered way ahead of his time was born on this day and I think any fan of hip-hop should take some time today and just reflect back on Tupac's music and legacy. I know I will be listening to "I Get Around, Dear Mama, and All Eyez on Me" , just to name a few of the many classics that Tupac put together in his far too short time on Earth. Rest in peace Mr. Shakur...you deserve it.
