On the eve of Lebroncenters 9 pm free agency signing special, I have to get this off my chest, or I'll go crazy. LeBron James might be the most media crazed athelete we have ever come across in sports. I have never seen someone who just absolutely HAS to be in the spotlight and quite frankly, it's sickening. In my opinion he upstaged the entire NBA season, most definitely the NBA Finals after being run off the court by Boston, the NBA draft, as well as other sports such as the World Cup, Wimbledon, and the upcoming British Open. Besides getting his own ticker on the bottom of "bron center", he has officially taken over the show as I believe about 75% of the show is now about him.
Now, I have no idea where the man is going to sign, but if the man is truly about winning, then he will sign along with Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade, and join the Heat as a three headed monster. If he signs with Cleveland or even New Jersey, then we know where is head is at. Obviously he can make the most SALARY money with the Cavaliers, but if he signs with the Nets then that opens so many other doors. If he does indeed sign with Cleveland, then that makes me even more angry because he could of put all this to rest 2 years ago when all this BS started, by saying I'm going to remain loyal and stay home. But, as we know, he and "his crew" love the attention. I also find it funny that Chris Bosh ends up signing along with Wade regardless if LeBron joins them or not. If Chris Bosh doesn't wanna sign with LeBron wherever he is at, that speaks a lot of what his fellow peers in the league actually think of him.
For my last point, what really irks me is the people who are ready to crown LeBron as the best player in the game. I say as long as number 24 is still playing in LA, LeBron will remain 2nd, if not lower with Wade and Durantula right on his heels. Because while Bron is getting all the headlines, Kobe is still putting in the work and racking up the rings. What seperates the gap for them is not skills on the court, LeBron does everything about equally well as Kobe does besides shoot, but it's the desire to win. At no point in Kobe's career did he have to have a 60 minute special on his desire to win, he proved it on the court. Time for you to do the same Bron, can't be a media star forever. At some point, you have to show me with actions on the court, and off it.
